Mediaportal and windows 8 (1 Viewer)

Hi ,

i tried installing mediaportal on windows 8 . it dont want to obviously. i tried installing components myself and got it installed.
however when i start the program it keeps on looking at my windows version and telling me i cant run it.
is there a way to force the installer to ignore the operating system warnings as these are annoying as hell.
the program should run as every other windows 7 programs i installed. at least with compatibility settings set to win 7.
anyone knows how i can circumvent this warnings and get it run on windows 8 ?
is there going to be support for windows 8 ?

windows 8 and mediaportal installer

Is there a way to get mediaportal installed on windows 8 ? i downloaded and installed manually but the program still nags about wrong windows version. i dont see why it cant run on windows 8 . the only thing stopping it is this operating system check.
any ideas are welcome...

is it possible for devs to add win8 dev preview x86/x64 to the installer ?

They will not add any support for windows 8 until it is officially released, we had exactly the same with 7.

Reason: how can we support something none of us have, and please do not ask us to be beta testers, we have our hands full with MP itself.

Also with the best will in the world, people will ask for support, thats why the simple answer is no.

only thing i ask is to remove the freakin OS check so it installs.
then let the beta testing and stuff to us tweakers
if it fails to work , at least i can find it out myself.
1.13 seems to work fine so i dont see why 1.2.1 shouldnt, even so i like to find out lol
