Better for the 25 ms. less desynch.
note : the 25 ms test is 17 minutes long. that 50 Ms in 8 minutes long.

Ah, ok. Now I see. I guess there is not mutch else to do than implement the event driver approach. Might take few weeks to get it on same level as the current polling based.

    Ok. Tourettes. :D

Things are progressing quite nicely, event driven mode is already implemented but I'm now having few deadlocks with sample handling (new thread was added that is playing around with the sample queues...).

Hopefully those few usecases that cause deadlock (stop & seeking :D)) can be solved quickly and then we might have much better WASAPI support for different kind of audio HW (at least here the audio renderer is now really glitch resistant and even high CPU spikes from different applications that are hogging the CPU is not causing po(o)ps or glitches). There could be some really old WaveRT drivers that doesn't support event driven WASAPI mode (at least there were when Vista was released). For such audio HW people can use directsound mode.

I will join the beta testing later this evening and report my results.

Want to express my gratitude to all the devs that try really hard on their free time to improve MP.:D

Hi Tourettes, any new on the project? I was wondering if you made any progress and what you are working on right now.
I really like the results your files give me however I sincerely miss my 5.1 sound. Good luck!

New release is not that far a way. Just some testing and minor things to be done and I can publish a new beta (eta few days).

edit: forget about it. Dolby Digital Live isn't supported... :(
I have in the past had a CMedia device and without Dogber's drivers the audio was terrible and I think drivers were enforcing everything to be re-sampled to 48Khz but was doing this quite badly). The replacement drivers made a massive difference to sound quality.

I have a feeling the C-Media drivers really are bad and if you can get rid of them I would try.

For DD live are you just using it to output stereo as multi-channel? If so could you not use AC3Filter or FFDShow to encode as Pro-Logic ?
