The only time I get framedrops is when I start a file in Mediaportal or when I skip or pause a movie and then continue. During the playback itself I have no framedrops.

Those are something that is not even planned to be fixed, since the value the user would gain from that is really minimal especially when compared to the effort (...especially when EVR mixer uses the random vsync "target" :))

Is there any specific testing you like to be done?

Anything you can imagine that could trigger a bug :) It is hard to point any specific things to be tested, but at least the 23.976 speed up to 25 would be something to be tested. In addition to that, just normal watching and keeping eye on the possible stutter.

Also it would be interesting to learn about the configuration and the test files itself when everything is working nicely.

    Just a simple question:
I dont see the graphs below the refreshrate info when i press shift+1. Am i doing something wrong?

Could you post system information? Sounds like it could be some bug or resource limitation in the EVR presenter code. It cannot be an user error if you see at least something in the stats OSD.

I use Windows Vista 32bit. Attached some logs, hope u can help me.

This is what i get in MP:

You seem to be using the wrong dshowhelper.dll (it's from the owlsroost's thread). Not sure if that could cause the issue, but at least it wont allow the audio renderer to be controlled from the EVR presenter.

Okay Tourettes. Just watched a full documentary. Here are the results:

Pretty good results. I would assume those dropped frames are happening (at least most of those few) in the beginning of the playback.

Also it is nice to see that the A/V clock sync drifting on your system is quite minimal. Sync was corrected 11 times during the whole playback - cannot remember exactly how small the allowed vsync position window is, but in any case the A/V clock drifting is quite minimal (from 5 to 20 ms per hour I would say). I guess you have pretty good results without the audio renderer as well for 1:1 and 1:2 matching material (unless the EVR mixer's randomly placed vsync target position happens to be in bad spot, something that the MP audio renderer and EVR presenter are able to compensate).

Correct Tourettes. When starting I had 3 dropped frames already. Don't know when the other 3 joined. I paused about 4 times but haven't seen added frames following.

Judged purely on the viewing experience I must say it gives very nice results: it is very fluid.

I will try a few more files the following days and let you know how it goes!

I'm trying to play 25 fps PAL live TV with this patch. Setting the monitor to 60 Hz is OK but when trying 50 Hz the audio is all messed up. It's looping every second about three times. When watching tennis is sounds like he hits the ball three times.

It's with your version too. ;\ Seems like I'm missing something.. My Screen runs exactly @ 23,976Hz so i think there is no use for Reclock or your audio-renderer? Correct me if im wrong. I tried ReClock sometime ago but the audio gets out of sync if i allow bitstream passthrough. So I could only get stereo..
