It seems to be a localization / encoding issue. I used the following batch file and got this result.

Using exactly the string which is written here as device, crashes the test app. Same crash happens also if you simply use a string as device which does not even exists.

Anything about the encoding issue?
List devices detects "Audio-Gerôt" instead of "Audio-Gerät"?

Exclusive Mode (cheap version) now works on Nvidia . Unfortunately there has been some microglitches introduced with v8/9, nothing at all shows in the logs when it is happening and my ION isn't up to showing the graph. I'll regress the directshow helper back a few versions and see if I can pinpoint the introduction of the stutter.

Yes, it should be the dshowhelper, unless audio renderer has grown more CPU hungry. Please test as well with the DS audio renderer.

Stutter is gone with just the DS renderer - and is considerably less with the MS codecs (but then there is the 10 second loss of audio on HD TV). Guess it's gone just beyond the ability if the ION chipset. I'll have a play around and see if I can figure anything else out.

Anyways, I have a ATI HD5450 on order so it will be interesting to see what kind of change will come in a few days, also regarding this test tool. I will post these results when I get the card.

Override the channel mask for 5.1 stream types. Use this to fix incompatibilities with the speak configuration between driver and the audio decoder. Disabled / zero by default. For ASUS Xonar use "1551".

Results with my ASRock ION 330:

- Works with wasapi exclusive mode now, providing I set off useeventmode
- No audible glitches in audio
- Channel changing really faster
- No drops in audiorenderer.log

using cyberling as video decoder (H.264).

So great work so far!!
