for the 5.1 set "1551" as value and for the 7.1 set "0" (make sure it is set as deciman not as hex in regedit). Those aren't just enable / disable, but instead a channel mask override in case some audio cards would require different mask (althou they shouldn't since there is only two different valid mask).

Gathered some new logs for the stutter as I couldn't figure out which of the old logs it was. I don't know if this will affect it but I've been trying out the SKY EPG version for the last couple of days so I'm not on an otherwise clean 1.1. I can revert if you think it makes a difference.

The logs were gathered watching BBC News which has a ticker running at the bottom and a stutter was clearly visible about half way through the capture (it seems to be one framedrop every 5-10 seconds). There is nothing in the logs at this point. The only frame drop logged was when I pressed the home button before exiting. This is the same as before I changed to the SKY EPG version and also doesn't seem to vary by the directshowhelper version (I went back as far as 6).

I'm not sure how useful this will be without anything appearing in the logs but you never know.

No 1551 was shown in the channel mask in the test application so it wont make any difference. What Nvidia GPU that is? I would assume something pre GT2xx series.

I have the same setup (ION 330 ASRock) and no problem. But are you using last mpaudiorenderer version? It says 0.8, I think this one will not work with HDMI and WASAPI exclusive mode.

EDIT: never mind. I see also latest version shows 0.80 in logs.

In that case the wasapi_test.exe results are quite odd. 9400 should support more audio formats (althou it is just a quess - not a fact from anywhere). Maybe you are using some older driver?

Other way round - I'm using a newer driver which was released to cure some HDMI issues. Must have dropped functionality for it, I'll have a look and see if robyf has posted results and compare.
