Oh sorry - but when i do that i get only nChannels 2 even on DD 5.1 Files...

As it is stated in the 1st post the audio renderer cannot accept AC3 encoded material. Make sure ffdshow is not mixing into 2 channels. Also please post logs so we can see what ffdshow is feeding to the audio renderer.

1) MP cannot start media with timestretching disabled for some reason? Logs attached

My fault, there is a bug that has been fixed only in the SVN. Let's see if I will build a new binary in few next days (depending on how the resampling etc. work is progressing).

I tested sync with timestretching disabled and it seems that A/V-sync loss is increasing slower than when it is enabled. This could also be a result from your latest changes. Now sync loss become noticeable about after 20mins. Used 1:2 material just in case even if biasing is not used.

Should I stop testing with that PC since it have some odd system/audio clock issue and wait until (somewhere down the line) this renderer clock is based to the real HW audio clock.. or is there anything more that I can do?

Not sure if logs needed, but I attach them anyway.

Please post the logs 2 channels in the log is probably the SPDIF - that format is techically always stereo stream.

I think the next change that is something you should be testing is the time when the audio HW based reference clock implementation has been done.

A/V sync cannot be seen from the logs (ever).

People, we need feedback!

From looking at the download counts it would show that around 60 people are downloading the binaries for testing (40x1.5 since not all people are downloading every release I would say). But there are only a couple of people who are reporting how the renderer actually works. We need to receive much feedback from much wider audience (WASAPI drivers are just plain ugly in many cases...). Working and non-working cases are as interesting to hear.

I'll stall the implementation for a while, until we get more feedback with the latest build.

Nothing to say exept that v12 work perfectly for me !

Windows 7 on a Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H

2 Nvidia cards (8400GS integrate for touch screen + 9400 for TV) , hdmi output to a TV sony 52w4000 thrue a yamaha RX-V3800

The only thing to change in my case is in nvidia control pannel : Use only 9400 for Cuda and optimize for 1 screen

Last SVN ffdshow for all video and powerDVD10 for TV (TNT, SAT, IP)

Sometime some problemes on slow horizontal image movement but only on HDTV, seem to be a powerdvd codec problem.

My computer is very optimized, TV server is also in high priority and mediaportal in above normal, no explorer running.

Just something : HDMI audio driver intalled manually, if I use the last nvidia installer I have only 2 voices working in 5.1 but it's not a MP probleme ;-)


PS : No reclock but used of Dynamic Refresh Rate

Stunning result for me even without event driven due lack Asus Xonar driver that if I understand well should be better for a/v synch. I switch my htpc from reclock definitely to test better under normal condition. I watch two tv-series episode at 25 fps speedup from 23,976. Nikita 1x02 and Hawaii-Five-0 Pilot web download 720p version both. No problem at all. A/v synch is good , very good sound , awsome smooth play. Imho MP does not need resampling function . time stretching is better but it's my opinion others could not agree with me.

I read about EVR - so it's only for Vista/Win7 and testing with XP doestn't help, right?
