Mediaportal Crash on Suspend? (1 Viewer)

Hi -

After Mediaportal suspended and resumed a couple ot times, e.g. for recording, it seems like Mediaportal crashes when going to suspend state. The last lines I usually see in the MediaPortal logfile are the following:

"Windows is suspending" is the last line seen in the log - when resuming manually from standby I only get a black screen until I kill MediaPortal.

It looks to me that MediaPortal crashed since usually I see a "full suspend sequence" in the logs like for example:

TvServer doesn't seem to be aware of the last suspend request. At the time Windwos is suspending according to the MediaPortal log the TvServer log is silent:

I configured the Powerscheduler TvServer and Client Plugin to suspend after 5 minutes Idle time (only in home screen, don't force shutdown).

Can somebody give me hint what is going on there? Which process is causing the "WM_POWERBROADCAST" and "Windows is requesting hibernate mode - UI bit: 0" lines? I am not aware of any other process that might want to force Windows to suspend mode. But even if some other process did, Mediaportal should suspend properly anyway...

Yes there was a change made, this will be either fixed or reverted for the MP1.0 final release.

I uninstalled RC4 and made a clean install of 1.0. Unfortunately I still have exactly the same problem.

Is anybody else experiencing the same problem?

Try the fix described in this thread. The timing with RC3 working and RC4 not working would suggest, that your problem will be solved by that workaround.
