I've been using Mediaportal for a few days and today after closing to change my HIP configuration, Mediaportal now faults on launch. There are no logs created in Mediaportal as it does not get to load. There is one .Net 2.0 Runtime error (ID 5000) in the event log as follows:

EventType clr20r3, P1 configuration.exe, P2 0.9.1.31050, P3 4808c905, P4 system.xml, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 461ef180, P7 6b1, P8 27, P9 system.xml.xmlexception, P10 NIL.

I'm at a loss to try and fix it. Any ideas? Tried rebooting, stopping HIP but to no avail.

Rename MediaPortal.xml to something else and try again, it sound like it's corrupted.
