Mediaportal download page via the home page top menu says: "|404| Bad karma, sorry...we can't find that page!"

So you're hovering over "Products", then selecting "Download MediaPortal" in the "MediaPortal - find out more" group?

The link I get is:
https://www.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-download

...and that works fine...

Sorry forgot to mention the path : I'm hovering over "Download"-tab and pick "Get Mediaportal Now!"

I get the same link from that path... and it [still] works.
Are you [still] having consistent problems with it?
If so, have you tried refreshing your browser's cache? This can usually be done by holding down ctrl and/or shift, then pressing F5.
