MediaPortal doesn't start up (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I switched on my HTPC today and when MP was starting up I got the error that Mediaportal has encountered a critical error and has to shut down.

I have no idea why this happened, and still happens on every start of MP.
I havent changed any configuration.

I'll include the logfile and hope someone can find out what happened to my baby =))

Sorry I'm not good with log files.

I had this issue a little while ago and I've fixed it now.

Do you have movingpictures plugin and is it enabled. If so disable it and see if MP starts up. If so it's the plugin that messes with the system somehow. Mine was working fine and then one day it decided it wouldn't.

All you have to do is go to movingpictures google page and download the new 0.7.1 version installer and install it and it should work again.

If this isn't the fix then i guess a dev or mod maybe able to help you

at what point does it crash?

you know how when it loads it says ... "loading plugins... initialising directx..." etc

Does it crash during this? (at what stage?)

It crashes before anything happens!!

You double click MP.exe and it instantly crashes!


But i fixed the problem with reinstalling ... have to configur anything again ... bahh!
