I selected "Autostart Mediaportal on Windows startup" in the Configuration Menu. After restarting the PC Mediaportal do not start automatically as it should.

I checked Msconfig.exe but there is no entry in the autostart-menu (normally it is).

I tested an older RC2-build to make sure this is a new bug: After selecting "Autostart Mediaportal... " the entry is listed within Msconfig. But not with RC3! :(

No, it's disabled.

As I said, an older RC2-build (from 23.09) I just tested works fine without problems (the entry appears in the autostart after checking and disappears if unchecked).
But there is no autostart entry if I check this option in RC3.

    Hi,
Do you compile yourself or was this downloaded from sourceforge?

Yes, I do compile myself (since 3 weeks). I just followed the steps in the wiki and now I can compile Mediaportal successfully with Visual Studio 2008 and make my own svn-builds/installers.

    Hi,
It is a bug, but not in RC3 as you reported ;)

It was added some days ago...

Btw, we don't use VS2008 for MediaPortal, still on VS2005.

    Regards
    Roy

VS 2008 works fine though (it converts the VS2005-data after opening the project) - after doing my first compile with it I had the impression that Mediaportal was a little bit more "smoothier". Also the compiled dll and exe-files are a little bit smaller as the files within the sourceforge-svn-builds I downloaded before. :)

EDIT: Ah! I just saw that the bug is fixed with 20495! ;)

EDIT 2: Do you know that with the changes made in Revision 20480 (some code changes in TV-Server) the recording function is broken...? At first sight Mediaportal behaves normal and pretends to record - but there are no TS-files written, only the xml-file is in the recording directory.

After reverting back to the unchanged code from 20479 the TV recording works again (I just disabled the changes made in 20480 with TurtoiseSVN, still using 20495).
