hi guys,

i using my mediaportal on a daily basis and everything worked fine perfectly. however, i was on a business trip for 2 weeks and when i came back today my mediaportal did not start, instead it popped up the following error message when running mediaportal immediately:

why is this error occuring and what can i dot to fix it? as lots of config time went into my mp and i also have a mytvseries plugin, reinstalling is not an option for me, UNLESS there is a way to make a backup of my modified settings...

i just installed mediaportal again with the same filepath and everything works fine now. my configs havent been lost as well.

    Is your Vista set to Auto update? I had an issue where an update caused that. Nothing I could do seemed to fix it, so I did a system restore and all was good. I'm away at the moment, so can't tell you which one, but it seems that may not have been your problem,since a reinstall of MP fixed it.
    Still, Auto update is the only thing I can think of that could have caused this with no human intervention :)
