OK will try that when I get home from work tonight. One thing I did try was changing the video rendering back from EVR to VMR9 and that fixed it.
TV3 looks out of sync sometimes but it comes right eventually.
So even though it seems to have fixed it, it's not the solution?
I will change it back and try to clean out the drivers and then reinstall the latest drivers for my GFX card then.
well given your cpu is slow you need dxva (hardware acceleration) from the new video card.
for dxva to work you must use VMR9 for XP / EVR for vista and you must use the correct codec.
lots of users have had issues when changing from nvidia -> ati or vice versa, that has required a reinstallation of O.S. (reformat), or at the very least driver cleaners.
ok almost fully functional. the only thing now is that TV3 kind of strobes. i have tried all the interlacing options in mp config and they all have the same result which is a slight strobing on the footage. all the other channels are fine.
funny thing is that if I record a show and play it back it is fine. looks mint. but if I am watching it live it has the strobing effect.
any ideas why??
Not sure what that is. I have EVR enabled but I don't think that is causing it. If it only happens on an 1080i channel is that not something to do with the way it is being deinterlaced??
no thats not it but it seems to have stopped now. i was fiddling with some of the settings and it seemed to clear it up. can't remember what it was I changed though.
