Mediaportal Hangs on MP3 and PLS (1 Viewer)

Synopsis::

Initially all was well but now when I try and play a MP3 or change to a PLS streaming radio station Mediaportal hangs? When I tap ALT+F4 then I regain control of MP again. TV, Weather and Photos appear OK. If I change to a digital radio station then no problems and also no problems with WMA streaming stations. The first log below is when I tried playing a PLS radio station and the second when I tried an MP3

I just started MP in windowed mode to try and see if anything else was starting and to my surprise there was a dialog box asking if I wanted to install the "Fraunhoffer MP3 codec". I don't know where this has come from but I said yes and everything is working perfect again. Thanks to those that have read this thread. I should have done more investigation. I'll know next time!
