Mediaportal hangs when having 500+ music (flac) numbers. (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm have a problem when i want to play a song with 1000 songs in a directory (Top 1000).
Mediaportal hangs. And now i have 4x 250 .flac numbers and the first time when i play a song, i takes more then 1 minute to play it.

I have a AMD Phenom 9750 2.4Ghz QUAD core processor with 4GB ddr 800 in Dual channel memory.
I'm running Windows Vista X64. Is there something i can do to fix it?

I take it you are using the "shares" view? Is all OK when using a DB view - like "Artists", "Albums" etc.?

PS: Attaching logs is always a good idea

Thanks for responding. I'm kinda new with this, but i found a log. I started up Mediaportal and opened a .flac file in a dir of 250 flac music files. It takes one minute the first time, and yes, i use the share view. Is it normal that it takes a minute? Here is the log :

Please do the following:
Start -->---> MediaPortal -> MP logscreater --> upload logs (use the advanced posting method).

Also: Please fill in "My system" in "User CP", and enabled it.


So - are you using "shares" or database view?

Somebody did it for me. I'm sorry again for the extra work.
I'm using the shares view (long list).

I always use a database view (and so should you!), so not sure how MP reacts (or should react) to a folder that includes 500+ files.

A bit of topic, but why don't you use a database view?

I'm not sure what database view is. I user Mediaportal for like a year now, but i did not see a database view. I will find out how that works when i'm home. If it solves "the issue" then that's fine for me offcourse. Thank you for your reply.
