Ok... to be sure i installed the ir32 from above, UNchecked the box may use external programs, checked the box use hauppage... but stil the same results.
Power button: opens Windows Mediacenter
Text button: Tries to open vtplus32.exe
Menu butten: show open tabs in windows

IN Mediaportal.. still nothing happens..

Maybe i should ask my question in an other way.... Has anybody the 35 button remote from hauppage(DSR-0112 ) working in Mediaplayer? (not the 45 of 34 or 21 button... cause they work for sure)

and if yes, what are the changes i perhaps have to make (in wich file's) ?

Update, reinstalled everything again.. same problem. I think the most importand thing is, i cán hear the "bleep bleep" of the remote in Mediaportal... the only thing is, not a single one of the buttons does anything.

AW: Mediaportal how to setup hauppage 35 button?

Hi Gioooow78,

I have the same problem with the "0" received by MP Configuration when using the learn option when using the 45 button remote. So everything I can do with my remote is to delete files ;-).

What exactly do you mean with your last post?

Okay... The problem is still there, but now i use a 45 button hauppauge on the wintv-hvr 930C... works pérfectly!

Do I get you right that the problem is still there with the 35 button remote but not when using the 45 button remote? And which is the current IR.exe version installed on your machine?

Thx for your help.

Yes.. that is exactly what i ment.. Do to the problems of the hauppage i switched to Microsoft mediacenter 7. Okay, its a shame i know, but i have no bugs or what so ever. Press the power button, and i can see what i want ;-)

Sorry... i have to ad something! Mediaportal is a lot nicer than mediacenter... but mediacenter just works for me. I just couldnt figer out how to get the epg to work on my simple cable connection. And i dont have the time to make it al work.. maybe in the future when everything becomes "easy install" ill switch back. Till then, im happy with the Billy G. version ;-)

In case you still care: in another (German only) thread we finally managed to get the Remote running, in case it is an RC6 remote type.

You have to install the complete WinTV software in order to have the remote available as an MCE remote as the according drivers seem to be included in the complete install package. Now you have to remove the IR.exe from the Startup and select the MCE remote in the MePo remote configuration page and it works.

When just installing the IR.exe we encountered the same problem as you described (see my first reply).

    Hi RealHarlekin

*Thank you* for following up! :D
For those who didn't buy WinTV, is it possible to get the driver from somewhere else separately?

    Hello mm,

unfortunately I can not distinguish the driver on the CD so I can not provide it. That is why I assume that it is part of the WinTV installation. You can easily obtain the installer from the Hauppauge support site.

When I perform the driver only installation, the remote is not recognized as "eHome infrared receiver". If I had too much sparetime  I could try out all drivers from the CD to figure out the correct one (if any!).

Let me know how it works out, I'll see if I can pin down the driver (won't happen soon though).
