Blue two seems so limited nowadays, what with the amazing stuff going on with skins.
People are missing out on so much if they stick to the original...

I said I use BlueTwo, but once i get a new TV (50" FullHD plasma) I should have MP and my server/main client working as I want and will have settled on one of the third party skins.

Yeah I agree. If some of the better looking skins where to be suplied with MP, and could be switched too with the press of a button, I can't imagine bluetwo beeing used the most.

I can. B2 is simple a skin that has no extra clutter in. I find almost any other skin pretty ugly as they contain all kinds of unnescessary "bling bling"s. But I guess its todays youth that wants such junk to be seen. Just listen what music is polluting radio waves today or what "reality" shows the tv is broadcasting...

(no one should take this post too seriously, its only my own opinion. But its the only right opinion )

I certainly can understand that for some simple is great! But theres no reason why it can't look good while beeing simple I find that blue color to be very "1st generation media center app", black is the new blue

Anyways I wasn't really saying that bluetwo sucks, I just think it would loose a lot of users if it was easier to add new skins. A system where you could actually get the "top 10 skins", "top 10 plugins" and browse the repository with plugins/skins from inside MP. It has started with .mpi, but it shouldn't stop there! Kind of like App store for iphone, just find the app you want, click, wait and use. It's so easy my grandmother can do it..

A system like that would help put MP ahead, and would show off the awesome app it is. Lots of people are missing out on all the great stuff beeing posted in the repository.

And cmon: Aeon vs bluetwo? You gotta be 200 years old not to see that Aeon is way cooler

Today the trend seems to be to have a shiny cover, "nothing else matters". If that would have been my preference when selecting the music I guess I wouldnt have ended up into liking Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Kyuss, My Dying Bride, Explosions in the Sky, Faint No More, Fantomas, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Soundgarden, Madcab...

...a little bit of topic, but its always good to know what music has been listened when building an application for free

How could I? I wear those alsr by myself when coding... Sure they dont feel confortable but same can be said when someone tries to use DVBViewer as HTPC application
