Is there any particular reson why MediaPortal doesn't use the DVB LCN Numbers for channel switch, but instead the internal database number? I've raised the issue of it not using LCNs years ago, and it was first noted as something that was broken (ie a bug) & later dismissed as the intended result. What I want to know is why is this? Every other HTPC software I've tried using the actual LCN numbers, so why not MP? Not using LCNs makes things very inconvenient as i have to open the guide an manuallt select the channel i want even though I know very weel which channel i want AND the LCN number. What's even more confusing is MediaPortal displays the LCN number to users in the UI which only causes more confusion. So, could someone please explain exactly why the LCNs aren't used? And, can this be added (hopefully we won't have to wait til 1.3 for an update like that, if it ever happens). Or, in the meantime is there at least a way we can modifiy the numebrs channel numebrs in the DB to reflect the LCN numbers, or use some sort of plugin that will allow LCN switching?
