MediaPortal not saving settings... among other things. (1 Viewer)

Yeah, as the title says, MediaPortal is not saving any settings. After spending more than 30 minutes configuring the damn thing, I noticed that it did not save my custom settings. So I tried, again, and again, and again, and again.... and after wasting some 4, almost 5 hours now, MediaPortal still refuses to save any settings. Also, most of the plugins refuse to show up, even when enabled. Radio streams do not play, folders reset to their defaults, etc etc. I can't bother to write this crap to tell ya all the truth. I've been messing with this thing for hours and I'm tired, and about 4 seconds away from uninstalling it, permanently.

Another thing, I don't know if this is standard way MP operates, but it is running very slow on my system. And I mean SLOW!

My specs:

AMD Athlon 64 4000+
1GB of RAM
Windows 2000 Pro
X800GTO 256MB DDR3 video card
no TV/FM card, just a plain capture card.

No MP should not run slow, it should also save your settings.

can you let us know which version of MP you are running ie 0.2.2.0 with or without TVServer (have to be the same release svn).

Also the mediaportal log would be useful.
