Mediaportal on Windows 7 Lite (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I've already got a Windows 7 PC with mediaportal client and server on one machine and am looking at buying a second machine for another room. I've found one running windows 7 lite version and need to know if anyone has tried win7 lite and if client will run on windows lite. machine I'm looking at purchasing is:
CPU speed: 3.2 GHz
Cores: 2
Memory: 2.5 GB
Hard drive: 40 MB
currently it is running xbmc

has anyone tried win 7 lite?

W7 Lite is not supported my the MP team.

That's not to say it won't work, it's just that if you have problems with it you will be relying on other users to help you out.

W7 Lite can be very close to a complete W7 install, or it can have a great deal disabled and removed, it all depends on what settings were used when it was set up. There are serivces and components in Windows that can be removed for every day tasks, but may be needed for media playback, network communications, database handling, graphical interfaces etc. that you will find in MP.

I would highly recomend using a full and proper W7 install instead. If you really want to go the W7 Lite route, then just remove a component a a time and test MP until it breaks.
