Hello. I have a question that is bothering me.
If i want to have mediaportal on my TV, i have to connect the S-VIDEO cable and then configure on my PC, to choose DualView ( so i have 2 displays) or Clone Display ( to have the same display on monitor and TV.
So i have to choose DualView so i can have Mediaportal on my TV and still can be able to work in My computer.

But my question is if there is an option on MediaPortal Configuration that will tell MP to play the output to S-VIDEO automatically. So i don't need to configure anything like DualView or CloneView etc... ?

I found this on the FAQ:

Can I run MediaPortal properly on a secondary display?

*

MediaPortal can in most cases run properly on a secondary display.
*

This can be configured in the "MediaPortal Configuration" program where in the "General" part screen selection can be enabled by selecting "use screenselector" and setting the appropriate screen in the selection box afterwards.
* The video card does need to support accelerating the content of the secondary screen tho.

I think this is what i'm looking for right? I want to run it on a secondary display, in this case: S-VIDEO. But i would like to tell Mediaportal to play it on S-VIDEO. Where can i do this? It seems this option is not where the FAQ says it is.

Because the method i'm using is having 2 displays on my computer and send the second to S-VIDEO thats connected to my TV. And i would like to have only one screen thats connected with VGA normal to my monitor, and then selecting on mediaportal that it should output to SVIDEO.
I would like to ask 5 minutes of someone's time to help out here if its possible.

Thanks in advance

I don't have an S-video output on my computer.... but I do have a VGA output. I am not using the dual monitor setup but only a primary single output. I have a converter from VGA to S-video 4:3 using a "Grandtec PC to Video EZ". Because I have it set up with over-scan, I have to also have my VGA monitor connected to the VGA pass-thru of the converter. My resolution from the computer is set at 800 X 600.

This works just fine for my standard TV.

What you will need to do is configure your dual view with the monitor output as your primary display, and your S-Video output as your secondary display. Then setting MediaPortal config to use the secondary display should result in what you want, but only when MP is set to display in full screen. A windowed MP will show up in your primary display. So you will have to configure dual display anyway.
