I havent done anything strange, only installed one plugin, but all of a sudden I got the following errors:

See attached screenshot for the mediaportal configurator error, the only thing i did was installing the Cyberdisplay plugin. After installing the plugin, i want to setup this plugin, but as soon as I cllick on Plugin, I got the error, click OK and setup closes.

Ok, let see if I can watch TV, Mediaportal opens normally, click on the TV button, and then I got the screen that asks to choose the TV server.. the one I use is filled in so I click change and then keep the usual server and click ready.. but then I got the error that it cant connect to the TV server due to a blocked SQL port 1433..click OK and then the message it can connect to the TV server, but cant access the SQL database.. please check your firewall.

    WTF!!

I really havent done anything strange, yesterday it worked, today it doesnt..

I will attach logs later this evening I have to go soemwhere else now, talk to you later...

    EDIT 13-12-2008 00:25:

    Added the log

Please excuse me I use Xface with creating the log, I tried to set blue3wide, and I tried mediaportal using before creating the log and worked with Blue3Wide, but when I start "Mediaportal debug mode" to create attached log, it used Xface again?!?!.. DUH?! Something weard is going on in my HTPC, but I dont know what (yet)

Please DEV's focus on what is going on with the TV server, this is very strange.. as I said I hardly changed anything in the systrem.. Has it somethinmg to do with the latest Windows update? (last tuesday)

NOTE: I installed RC4 (edited in the specs) but did not install the latest SVN yet, because I first want to know what is going on.

    Thanks in advance!

    Problem solved (I hope)

Uninstalled MP and MP TVserver completely
    reinstalled RC4
    Scanned channels again, works
Started Mediaportal, tried to watch TV.. DOESNT work! (@#$#@#$#$%^%$#@) !!

    WTF is going on!

Go into my firewall settings (Mcafee), grant full access for everything with SQL in it(was set on Outgoing only), No Help

Hit CTR-ALT-DEL, task manager, tab services and find out TVservice is stopped, started it manually

Start Mediaportal and now I can watch TV (pfff...)

Restart computer to see if TVservice is now started immediately

Start Mediaportal, and yes I can watch TV again.. so everything seems to be back to normal

Question remains WHY this stupid behavior!! I suspect Windows Update or Mcafee updates to be responsible for this.

Do I sound cranky??.. you bet I am! I had a terrible week, and this tops it all.. but that you cant help, i know...

I am pretty sure the Cyberdisplay plugin is the culprit, dont know how this can be but after installation of the Cyberdisplay plugin all problems are back.. wtf has a display plugin to do with the TVserver?!?.. beats me!

Ok will fix it again, but will not reinstall this plugin.. In RC3 this plugin worked pretty well.
