I originally had this problem on RC2 and couldnt work it out so I thought it would be an excellent excuse to do a fresh install of 0.2.0.3

I made a copy of my team mediaportal directory, uninstalled using add/remove programs, deleted what was left in the directory, rebooted and loaded up 0.2.0.3 and ran the updater as per the Wiki instructions.

That night it worked flaulessly and on Friday I was a happy bunny. Over the weekend though Ive had a recurrence of the original problem.

What happens is when I go into myTV mediaportal regulary (not every time but a good 50%) disappears from the screen and I see my desktop minus the taskbar, the sound is coming out but neither the keyboard or mouse respond.

After about 5 seconds a tv window appears around the bottom left corner and covers about 25% of the screen. The desktop is still frozen and in another 5 seconds a second window appears the same size but slightly offset from the original.

I then get control of the desktop and have to alt-tab to mediaportal and then alt-f4 to get it to close. It wont close using task manager. I have nothing else running although on one or two occasions I have had explorer windows open on the desktop. I have also noticed in task manager that media portal has about 150Mb of memory used (and rising) and I dont know if thats normal or not.

There is nothing obvious (to me) in the log file and last night it also happened when I pressed the recorded tv button on my MCE remote straight from the home screen.

Im at work at the moment and intend to have another look tonight. Ill get the support template done and post the logs, but was hoping someone might have some ideas for me to check in the meantime. I appreciate I may need more information before we can solve this though.

Ive installed a Gigabyte N66256DP graphics card and the second of my PVR500 Hauppauge tuners about a month ago but didnt have this problem until last week.

Cheers
Martyn
