Mediaportal sound only after listening music (1 Viewer)

Hi everybody,

I have a strange problem: when I start Mediaportal, the normal sounds (cursor up/down, enter, etc.) do not work. As soon as I listen to some music and stop it, all sounds work perfectly. When I then watch TV or a movie and stop it, the Mediaportal sounds do not work again (sometimes I hear a short click sound, not more). Any idea? Perhaps something needs to be initialized when starting MP or stopping media? Any help appreciated.

Sound in this case is sent via HDMI to a receiver, the graphics card is NVIDIA GT 430, NVIDIA HD Audio drivers are installed (and working perfectly for music, TV, movies).

i believe it's the audio over hdmi thing, something wrong with the drivers. i have the same problem (nvidia too), first 2-3 seconds there's no sound on anything. the thing is that these up/down clicks are short, shorter than 2 secs.
try pressing the down key a bunch of times (or hold it) in menu and you'll see that the clicks are there but just not from the start.
updating the driver may help.. but it didn't work for me, i learned to live with it..
