Switching off "Cuda" in the CoreAVC still is a workaround, but I have to set Deinterlacing to "None(Weave)", otherwise it happens, that the interlaced channels look broken, like in the attached picture.

First of all I would say it is definitely a codec issue. If you are seeing such garbage on the screen it will be display drivers or the codec itself causing the issue. Unfortunately the screenshot has the error message hidden so it is not possible to say anything more on the issue.

Just like with the previous SVN, Mediaportal keeps setting process priority to real time, regardless of which option I select in MP config. I didn't have this problem before.

Even after a reinstall today it's still occuring. Here are the logs of my last run where I ctrl+alt+del'ed myself out of MP (which took a looooong time ). Also included is my Mediaportal.xml, which could be useful too.

Hey Guys, new tester here, had everything working great but recently installed latest SVN - keeps hanging now. Hangs on it's own without any action, when closing TV in MP, returning from a movie etc. etc.

As first step please disable all 3rd party plugins. At least VideoConvertorTVE3 seems to have some issues based on the logs.

Yeah I already disabled it or so I thought, but them I realised there are two to turn off? weord huh? will report back?

There are two problems: The garbage only appears, when deinterlacing is enabled in CoreAVC 2.0, but it's not crashing. The crash (dialog in the background and the attached logs) happens when Cuda is enabled and the channel is switched. Next I will give ffdshow a try, but it's a pity, if the hardware accelerated decoding would not work with Media Portal.

i can reproduce alexirions problem to ( using coreavc 2.0 with cuda on an ion330 ) when zapping from anixe.hd to ard.hd/zdf.hd.
but instead of garbage on the screen mediaportal stops working on my system ( "mediaportal funktioniert nicht mehr" / "mediaportal doesn't work anymore" ).
sometimes the "not working" window doesn't appear, instead mp hangs after changing the channels.
it either hangs for around 15-20 seconds an then the stream continues on the new channel or mp hangs forever.
will try the win 7 codec later...

changing the "Don't drop discontinued packets ..." option doesn't help.

Please try with other codecs as well. To me it still sounds like a codec only issue. Probably nothing we can solve on MP side.

Will teletext remain unusable..

Hi.

So crashing of a teletext was fixed by adding few if..then,
but will it be fixed ?. I can't see mantis for the issue.

There is one open issue of Texture manager, is
this issue connected to Teletext ?

I've provided logs for null reference exception error in teletext
many times.

So i'd like to see mantis issue for getting teletext to work again.

Teletext crash is most likely out of memory related -> result of that one open texture manager issue (leaking currently textures ).

okay just tried the Microsoft Codec Combo. ( MPEG2/H.264 and MPEG/AC3 Codec ).
Mediaportal won't stop working, but channel changing doen't work in every case.

zapping from ANIXE.HD ( MPEG4 / 1080i ) -> ARD.HD or ZDF.HD ( MPEG4 / 720p ) doesn't work.
screen stays with the last frame of anixe.hd and nothing happens. though the GUI does still respond and i can change to another channel.
then i can watch tv again without problems. i can change to every channel i want MPEG2/MPEG4(720p/1080i) without problems.

zapping from ARD.HD or ZDF.HD to ANIXE.HD or any MPEG2 SD Channel works perfect.


just a note: anixe.hd only has AC3 audio

Maybe ARD.HD or ZDF.HD has AAC audio. Make sure ffdshow has it disabled (if it is in use). If not, please provide a TS buffer file that can be used to reproduce the issue under My Videos plugin.
