Re: MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-02-06-2010 13-59h - Revision:24975.rar

ard and zdf have MPEG + AC3 audio, no AAC afaik.
i have uploaded the buffer-file to http://macgyver.karmafish.net/live3-0.ts.tsbuffer1.ts ( 185mb ).

after 20 seconds there is the channel change from anixe.hd to zdf.hd.
in mpc i get the garbage video described by alexirion with (coreavc 2.0 without cuda on a different computer).
the mpc-hc and microsoft codec work fine in mpc.
playing in MP my video ( coreavc 2.0 and ms-dtv codec ) the picture freezes and the sound stops while the timeline continues.
the gui is still responsive and i can stop the playback.

AW: MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-02-06-2010 13-59h - Revision:24975.rar

Since SVN 24923 MP crashs while playing h264 files - havn't watched any SD since (first one is always shown fine, but while playing a second or third it crashs - this has been fixed for some SVNs but now returns).
In Systemlog I find the following:

ID: 1023
Source: .NET RunTime
".NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3603 - Schwerwiegender Fehler im Ausführungsmodul (7A09795E) (80131506)."

It's always the same error.
I'll try to create some logs asap

    Playing them in TV or Video? What type of h264 files? mkv or ts? Even without logs, you haven't provided enough information to give anyone a clue whether there is a problem with MediaPortal or just with your computer.

    I am going to clean such reports from the thread later, as they contribute nothing of use. Please remember that when you report a bug, you must provide the steps that you took to see the problem, and the log files from when the problem happened. It doesn't matter if 1, 10 or 100 people have reported it before. More data = more chance of a developer finding a solution.

    Just like with the previous SVN, Mediaportal keeps setting process priority to real time, regardless of which option I select in MP config. I didn't have this problem in SVNs before december.

    Even after a reinstall today it's still occuring. Here are the logs of my last run where I ctrl+alt+del'ed myself out of MP (which took a looooong time :p). Also included is my Mediaportal.xml, which could be useful too.

    In settings file

    Code:
     <entry name="ThreadPriority">AboveNormal</entry>

    In MP source code:

    Code:
            string MPThreadPriority = xmlreader.GetValueAsString("general", "ThreadPriority", "Normal");
            if (MPThreadPriority == "AboveNormal")
            {
              Thread.CurrentThread.Priority = ThreadPriority.AboveNormal;
              Process.GetCurrentProcess().PriorityClass = ProcessPriorityClass.AboveNormal;
            }
            else if (MPThreadPriority == "High")
            {
              Thread.CurrentThread.Priority = ThreadPriority.Highest;
              Process.GetCurrentProcess().PriorityClass = ProcessPriorityClass.High;
            }
            else if (MPThreadPriority == "BelowNormal")
            {
              Thread.CurrentThread.Priority = ThreadPriority.BelowNormal;
              Process.GetCurrentProcess().PriorityClass = ProcessPriorityClass.BelowNormal;
            }

    Cannot see any issues in the code, nor reproduce the issue.

    Likewise, I do not get this issue. I can change the priority through MP config, and it shows up in task manager processes as the priority that was set. Are there any other apps/plugins you are using that may affect the priority (eg. Prio)?

    Hey Guys, new tester here, had everything working great but recently installed latest SVN - keeps hanging now. Hangs on it's own without any action, when closing TV in MP, returning from a movie etc. etc.

    As first step please disable all 3rd party plugins. At least VideoConvertorTVE3 seems to have some issues based on the logs.

    Yeah I already disabled it or so I thought, but them I realised there are two to turn off? weord huh? will report back?

    Well Tourettes seems you were right, all seems to be working no0w exceprt for xvid files wont play.

    Cheers

    No, I have tried Prio to fix it setting Realtime, actually. Didn't work, so removed it again. I guess I'm gonna do some looking around what could be causing it.

    Yes, sorry, my fault :( :sorry:

    Video and MKV files (no TV installed). Up to build 24669 everything was fine.

    Didn't change anything else in my setup.

    Sorry, just arrived from work, so no logs yet :(

    ok, I'll reboot my machine first and then go for the logs...
