Infos:
These Subversion-snaps are compiled at about 01.00h (CET).
You can also visit the official irc-channel (#mediaportal) to get a notice when its ready for download. The trigger !svn gives you the latest update too.
They are not pre-tested, so please use the backup option from time to time.
If you'd like the bleeding edge code and don't mind the inherent risks, upgrade to the snapshot releases as they become available.
If stability is important to you, you might want to stay with the fully-tested releases.

How to install MediaPortal SVN-Snapshots in short:
1) Install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC1, not necessary if already done
2) install .NET Framework Version 2.0
3) Run the Snapshot-Installer. You should create a backup.
4) Run Configure. Sometimes the settings and database versions change from build to build, so you have to reconfigure your TV for example
5) Hopefully enjoy the new version
6) If not, restore your old files and you will have the former version back.

Important notice: The backup function wont work for Vista atm, here you need to save your configuration manually. A rewrite is planned but will take some more time for testing.

Problem width German Language File

Hi,

since some SVN's is a problem with geman characters like ä,ö,ü,....
This are not more displaying more. And when i will use configuration.exe its take much long to start .... about 2-4 min.

After look in the configuration.log i see this:

group:Alle Kan?le not found. create it
group:Alle Kan?le created
*
This is happen more then 20 times. one time to create the Group needs 10 sec.
That is why it takes so long.

I thing this is the character problem too.

But i have find a way to fix it.
Open the strings_de.xml in WordPad and save it again as "unicode text"

After this it works again.

1: in My radio, the wait cursor is still missing

2:when selecting a radiostation with cover art ( logo) pressing OK doesn not show logo in overlay window.but gives a black box
switching to tv guide directly on MCE remote shows logo in overlay in TV but when switching back the logo is gone again in non-TV overlay windows

When playing shoutcast-radio and then starting to play an mp3 from music library radio continue to play and I can hear both songs play! When I press stop on my remote mp3 stops but not radio. Can't stop radio with my remote any longer.

Using BASS player and Win MCE remote.

NVidia codecs (and others?) appear to have started showing mpeg2 in the wrong aspect. This is an upgrade from 15217 so I think it's happened since then.

The TV Plugin is registering again for me - The last few releases had failed to install the TV plugin.
