Tearing here also since few latest builds. Tried 93.67 and 162.18 forceware drivers with various settings (vsync, trip.buff, exclusive mode etc) tearing is just always there on the top of the screen.

That should be fixed in the next public build. Mr. Hipp reverted some changes that were causing the issue.

Please try to disabled the DVB subtitles. If it's not crashing anymore please report to the DVB subtitle thread. Also make sure that ALL following are on the same SVN version: MP, TVE3 server & TVE3 client.

Fixed the problem causing MediaPortal to freeze/crash the PC! Reinstalled an old SVN+TVServer which I remembered didn't crash to see if it was my PC, and it also crashed. So it had to be something to do with a change in the PC. Just before the crashing, I had installed the latest audio driver for my Realtek AC '97 audio chip. So uninstalling this audio driver and going back to the old audio driver stopped the crashing. So it appears that MediaPortal and the latest audio driver (version A4.01) have problems with each other, at least on my system.

Intresting info about the audio driver. Also had the feeling that the driver is causing problems. Thx-
