If i want to play a HD recording it does take a long long time until the video starts! I guess some minutes! And video and audio are minutes out of sync

Seems to be a bug in the H-264 I-frame detection:

    25-12-2009 20:11:40.154 [dd4]vid:OnThreadStartPlay(0.000000) 1.00 0

please provide a sample TS recording that can be used to reproduce the issue. You can use the following FTP site to upload the content. After done, please send a private mail to arion_p with a link to this post :) (he should be able to fix that issue).

    Address: ftp.team-mediaportal.com
    Login: tsdump@team-mediaportal.com
    Password: mpuser88

i would like to upload but i cant cut the files anymore and with newley recorded it does not happen. It only happens with old records which i cut inside mediaportal.

Major hangup.. minor leak.. (or the other way around ;) )
    Hi all,

Have reported this in the past and hoped I had seen the last of it.. but this svn
did the same... after running for several days.. the tv-stream freezes and we hear
the 'familiar' (to some) thumping sound indicating MP is hung...
As before, memory usage starts to explode... MP ended up using just under 900mb this time...

Logs attached.. one tvreader log exploded aswell to a whopping 136mb..
but as this exception might be a bit hard to reproduce.. added it anyways...

to all: best wishes 4 2010!

    Hi all,

Not sure if my current issue(s) are specific to this SVN, but I've searched through the forums and found a few references to the issue before this SVN (but the posts seem very varied)

I am currently recording a HD channel, while watching a SD channel (two separate tuners) - Nova HD S2

Ever so often the audio seems to stutter for a second or two, nothing major, but noticable.

At the same time the only thing written to any logs is:

29-12-2009 20:57:11.949 Recorder: RECORD clear TS packet queue
    29-12-2009 20:57:11.949 Recorder: RECORD Info : Next broadcaster program clock reference rollover : 0 days 20:13:11 0

    29-12-2009 21:36:38.901 Recorder:pid 914 : Discontinuity header bit set!

The audio glitches are when the Discontiunity log entries happen.

I am running SAF (with SPDIF) on W7x64, with ATI 9.8 graphics

    Thanks,

    J.

Is anyone finding that the multiple instances of Haali issue is back in SVN 24553? ie. can't play a second mkv file?

Might be a temporary thing, but myWeather no longer receives the weather.
It fails with a 'Failed to perform city search - make sure you are connected to the Internet' error...

    #Edit#
Looks like the first search on the 'Enter city to search' page fails, but a second search succeeds to find the city
This is also true for The Weather Channel website - can someone confirm this please?

Could this be The Weather Channel changing their API perhaps??

No, I can play mkvs over and over without issues.

Yes!!! I have found this issue and been tuning my codec configuration for two days to solve it. So the reason is in MediaPortal, not in codec configuration. I installed Windows 7 before Christmas, first had this problem and suddenly it was fixed. Now the problem is back, and the reason probably is upgrade to latest SVN, if I calculate days when this problem appeared again. Thanks, no need to try to tune codecs anymore desperately. Is there any workaround (other than downgrading), or do I need to wait for a fix?

So only first MKV with AC3 sound is played, for the next ones there is "unable to play video" messagebox. To play a second one, restart of MediaPortal is needed. In the system tray two or more haali icons are shown, and they disappear after a while when MediaPortal is closed.

Hmm. Hetfield is experiencing exactly what I am experiencing..

Are you using SVN 24553 mr viggo? It was still fixed in the previous SVN (24281).

I gave this new SVN a quick go with EVR once more. Once more it was unstable, I think worse than before.

I had a little trouble adjusting to the new statistics shown when you hit Shift + !, but whenever there was a jump in the video there was massive spikes in the graph thingy that was whizzing by.

Back to VMR9, which is perfectly smooth for me :)
