This build works ok. Zapping between SD-HD-SD is stable and fast no matter what codes is used. Showtimes plugin is broken with this build but that's not MP's problem.
Scaning sattelites is fixed also, I can retrieve and tune any channel I like.

Great job guys, very good work.


Ok, gonna switch over to Disaster's edition since his tsreader does not stutter when changing to the next ts. buffer file. Sorry guys. No bugreports from me than.

Showtimes plugin started to work !!!!!

Hi there,

I came back to find the live TV had froze again - the audio had also got itself into a mess (was making "thumping" sounds - ie it had stuck).

The HTPC is still responsive, I can get OSD to work ok. it appears this time, changing channel does not solve the issue.

One thing I have not done is reapply SAF.

Should I check that RTSP is disabled (as this is a single seat setup)?

The freezing is happening to fequently for it to be tolerated, and I will have to downgrade to the beta

After changing from multiseat to singleseat, channel change works smooth, and changing between SD & HD channels seem to work fine now, but I still can't seem to get DXVA working - I've installed Cyberlink codecs from HD PACK 2.2, but hardware acceleration doesn't seem to work for me .. could someone guide me in the direction to a codec that ought to work?

The Arcsoft h.264 decoder used to work for me in 1.1 BETA and I'm not really happy about installing PowerDVD itself....

I do still get an occasional crash when stopping live tv from the main menu. I'll post some logs next time this happens...

But all in all, great work, looking forward to the "real" RC1 soon

I have gone into debug mode and "disabled" RTSP, I have also reinstalled SAF.

I have just experienced bad blocking/stuttering. The only log that has been written to is the "Streaming server.log" file.

Mediaportal sometimes freezes during playback of videos. The error log shows an "render exception" and the Gui Fontmanager also reports an error. That happens if I press the Info-Button during playback.

The error can be easily provoked if you just push the info-button and hold it during videoplayback, so the submenu will be opened and closed many many times... until Mediaportal freezes. This happens every time - without exception! I tested this on different systems, it could be reproduced on all systems I tested.

+1 from me, more than 6 months i have report this bug and some other users.i would like one dev to give a small attention on this problem.
Mironicus this is happening beacuase of the the tv logos and also i notice it happening if you have image from a movie.Try to delete tv logos or if its happenng when you watch a video file try to delete the thumb from the movie and report back.

This never happens during TV playback for me. I can push the Info button for a minute and the opening and closing menus don't let Mediaportal freeze, it only happens in "MyVideo".

I tried your tip and deleted the video thumbnails and disabled the creation of thumbnails in the options. You were right. Mediaportal does not crash anymore! So it's the thumbnailers fault that Mediaportal crashes.
