    Hello,

I want to report that Mediaportal takes more than 30 seconds to startup.. Not a disaster, but I want to know if there is way to reduce this bootup time..

I have take a look into the logfiles, and one thing I notice is this:

    2011-12-15 19:18:43.087641 [Info.][CacheChannels(14)]: ChannelNavigator::LoadSettings()
    2011-12-15 19:18:57.506466 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: Load plugins from : C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Plugins\windows\OnlineVideos.MediaPortal1.dll

So [CacheChannels(14)]: ChannelNavigator::LoadSettings() takes 14 seconds.. I have take a look into other logfiles of other people, and in all those logs this rule take not more than one second.. But I have know idea what it is..

I hope anyone can help me a bit to reduce the startup time of Mediaportal.. That would be very useful for testing purposes. it's a bit annoying to always have to wait that long.

BTW: I'm using for therecord 1.6.1 BETA 1 (but also while using the latest stable version, 1.6.0.1, the startup time was the samed)

I have cleanedup the logfiles, startup Mediaportal, and exit.. Here are the results:

    Best regards,

    Marcel

Easiest and fastest way to start the troubleshooting is to disable 4TR (and any other 3rd party plugins) and then try to reproduce the issue again.

    Allright, thanks, will do that..

But can you tell me is 30-35 seconds is a bit slow? Or do you think It normal.. My system specs are fine, so that can't be the reason..

Do you know also what "[CacheChannels(14)]: ChannelNavigator::LoadSettings()" is?

I have found the problem.. It's the MP torrents plugin..

I had disabled all my plugins and enabled them 3 by 3.. When enable the torrent plugin, it takes a long time, with disabled the plugin it goed much faster.. (have timed it with the stopwatch)

With all my plugins enabled it takes around 34 seconds to startup, and without the torrentplugin enabled around 12 seconds.. I have test it a lot of times so I'm shure that's the problem..

I don't have storage on the network.. (well, I have, but not enabled in Mediaportal)

I think 12 seconds with a lot of plugins enabled like me (around 40) is normal?

    :D
