    Looks like a driver issue.

I made the experience that software installation on WSE 2012 can be a little bit tricky. Did you install with explicit admin rights? Launching the software without "Run as Admin" is not always leading to the same result, even if you get the UAC security screen. Might be worth a try: uninstall (then maybe reboot) and install again with explicit admin privileges.

Then I have unfortunately no idea. Just to be sure: has the box been tested under Win 7 or Win 8 and confirmed to work? Not that you are trying to ride a dead horse...

Unless there is somebody out in the field who has got this USB box to work under WS 2012 and can guide you what to do, you may want to consider using another card.

Hm... it is actually not a dead horse, it works fine with all client systems (Win8.1, win8 and win7) I have...
So it must be a lame horse...

I tried now a second card, the Terratec Cinergy C2 USB BOX, but still the same issue...

Maybe in the coming months updates will fix it.

    ok here we go
    I attached my error logs
Finally we have the MediaPortal logs. It is obvious there is no problem recognising the tuner. It also seems that tuning is successful. However, it is not possible to start streaming (start the BDA/DirectShow graph) after tuning. This is a bit strange. I could still guess that BDA or the tuner driver are not installed correctly... but I could be wrong.

Can you please provide logs from W7/8/8.1 using the same tuner? Maybe comparison will help us to identify the problem...
