Hi,

When I start MediaPortal, first MP will start the Configurations (Configuration.exe). When the Configurations will be loaded it throws an Exception. Even if I press "continue" after that, every time I press the ok-button to save my Settings it throws the same Exception. It has something to do with the TaskPlaner...but I have no Taskplaner :D I don't install this service on my systems all the years and now I breaks my neck :(

    Hi,
Do you run a full installation of XP & minimum SP2 with all windows updates?

as added to other reply: We don't support light-weighted installations of XP/Vista all "default" services should run....

Edit: this missing one it's the mstask...

    Regards

okay ... I see...I use a Windows XP SP2 Installtion, which is modified with nlite for better performance, because, most services I don't need. Are there any other Services that I should know about ? besides the TaskScheduler (mstask) ?

One last question, why need the MP a TaskScheduler ? is there no way to check, if a service is avaible and if not, the settings will not be enabled ?

    Hi,
We only support full installations of Windows, cause of bug reports which we can't confirm or workaround in a easy way. Thats how it is, I've not tested any light systems @ all & have not "digged" around for whats needed as minimum services to get MP to run, but default installation of XP(not x64) with all updates & vista with all updates should work without any hassle....

    Regards
    Roy
