sorry for the OT question, but do you re-encode the blu-rays for mkv or just remux them? And do you guys know a way to keep the menu when using MKV, as MKV would have support for this as far as I read - but never tested it so far.

------
The plugin sounds good - will test it these days when my NAS has arrived and I've got some space to rip my blu-rays :)

    Updated test3

Installed the new version and tried a CD rip and a BD rip. Here are my results:

    • BD support seems to work well. I tried a few titles and they were recognized
    • New internal ripper did not work across the network. Using a good UNC location, the ripper responded with "Object must be a root directory ("C:\") or a drive letter ("C")"
    • CD ripping still fails. It will get as far as finishing ripping the first track and fail when it begins to encode the first track.
    • Can confirm the problem thesystemera is having, as well. Instead of placing the iso as \\Server1\Videos\Movie ISOs\Pinapple Express.iso it is \\Server1\Videos\MovieISOsPinapple Express.iso (missing the '\' between last folder and filename - previously not a problem)

Thanks for the logs. Much easier to figure out what is happening.

#1 Good to know that at least some part of this plugin is working.
#2 Internal ISO builder, which was directly ported to this plugin from internet, did not support UNC. I tried to fix that in this test versíon. I must admit that I have not tested networking at all.
#3 You are using MP 1.0.0 RC2 which is not compatible with this plugin. This plugin is using functions from MP core and log is indicating that needed function is not found. If I remember right those changes were included in RC2 + very late SVN.
#4 Most propably same as above. You are both using RC2. I cannot reproduce that bug.

Update 07.02: #4 added checkings for path constructor - should work now

Updated to 1.0, applied enhanced dll's and config.exe

    1. Did not try BD with new test version, waiting on new drives for server (out of space) - will update when I can rip a blu-ray
    2. Internal ripper UNC support seems to work well across network
    3. Audio CD ripping works now (thanks :) )
    4. Path constructor also seems to work well
    5. Enhanced configuration.exe still crashes on my box (vista x64) - but did before as well

    Thanks,
    Andy

Good. MP1.0 is way better than RC2 so there are even more benefits than just getting this plugin working. I compiled that configurator with x386 flag, I think, so it might not work at all for x64. But it is not needed to configure VCD. And furthermore newest VCD beta supports daemon emulation.

I just updated the first post with newer version - should be more user friendly now.

1.1c is not working for me. It crashes media portal when trying to rip a CD. I am running 1.0.0.0 no svn on xp pro. It looks like a directs error, but not sure.

any help appreciated. log files attached

How this can be even statistically possible that I never see these crashes or problems. Coding can be fun sometimes but I didn't expect it to be this much fun :D

OK, try this and please report back.
