Hey guys just created a Blue3 Wide skin for MediaSlayer 1.1b... Enjoy... Nothing fancy just everything tidied up and a nice little reflection on the coverart..

What I am concerned about though is I think I have discovered a few major bugs...

1... When I define a filename for the plugin to store my .iso's and movies in general it will use the path I have like this "D:\Videos\Ripped DVD'sCrash.iso" rather than D:\Videos\Ripped DVD's\Crash.iso"

2... Music ID's are not being accessed, the system tells me I have no internet connection and can not get album data...

Could this please be looked at...

Yes it is definately having trouble with file locations while ripping in internal mode.. I am certailn..

As a heads up. The latest beta of Virtual Clone drive emulates daemon tools and even has a daemon.exe file in the folder.
Find it in the slysoft forum.

is it just me or is anybody else wondering if its possible to have the iso rips smaller than 5+GB or to enable a divX type ripper? usually im converting my films down to 750MB ish and i just can bring myself to start ripping films to the size of the 5+GB region? is this possible

Was not supported in previous version. Can you try it now. Don't know what will happen 'cause don't have drive nor disc.

Sorry I haven't checked in in a while. I have downloaded the new verison and will attempt a BD rip after the update (see below). I was reading through the thread and have a question: Is VCD support broken in MP 1.0.1, or 1.1b of the plugin? I haven't updated MP (I don't really have a reason to) and haven't updated the plugin (yet). No VCD support is a deal breaker for me as DT breaks my computer. I, too, can confirm that ripping an audio CD is broken. I can't remember exactly what happens, but if you need info, just ask I'd be happy to help.

Sorry to ask, but is any one here getting this problem.. Otherwise things are fine apart from the weird varients in music file sizes... And yes I have been able to rip Blu-ray internally as well as AnyDVD.. But as I said pointless until I can get the file name problem resolved..

Couple of notes:

MP3 is using VBR (variable bit rate) ~190kb setting and thus can show different coding speeds per file. It is much more efficient and has better quality than CBR (constant bit rate) at the same bit rate. In next version you can select the encoding quality from three different options: VBR 190, VBR 240 and CBR 320. If you really need a high quality rips you should use lossless format (FLAC).

Mencoder is for making DivX rips from DVDs. It will not make size of 700MB files but around 1.4GB with AC3 sound without resizing. High quality is what we are after.

I can not reproduce path and CD ripping problems. Path is constructed for all DVD ripping methods the same way so if one of the ripping methods is working all should be fine. CD cover art grab is using MP's internal functions and should be the same for this plugin and MP's music section. I'll try to find time and post a test version where is logging added to find out what is happening there.

And please post logs in debug mode if you have problems.

Also it would be nice to know if you have been able to fix a problem you previously posted.
