Hello,
Congratulations for developping such a fantastic software. Brilliant.
I would like to get it work on my Medion MD880 but the video card (geforce 6700XL ) is not recognised / supported.
I read several posts in this matter but - well I am a newbie - I am not sure where to start or even if this is possible to get it work.
I really would like to get rid of PowerCinema and make the move to MediaPortal.
Can anybody help me with a step-by-step instructions (something idiot-proff really)?
As I think that Medion sold around 10,000 PCs I can imagine that this would be useful for many other users too.
Thanks in advance!
Keep it up.
E.

    Hi,

please try to fill out the support template. We have a nice tool to aid you in this process.

The graphics card is supported by MP. It is a normal DX9 card, so I do not understand, what you mean by saying the 6700 is not supported?

    Do you mean the TV-Card(s)?

I do not know, which cards Medion placed in their computer. Generally does MP support TV-cards:

DVB-S/C/T: if they use BDA drivers
Analog: if they have an HW-encoder (PVR cards)

Read this thread, to get your card supported if it fullfills the needed specs:

    Hello FlipGer,

This is a really quick answer.
The computer specs are under :

    http://www.chip.de/artikel/c1_artikel_17463894.html

You are right. The trouble is coming with the TV card. Seems to be a problem of MP dealing with this hybrid card.

I had noticed the thread you mention but I am not sure to have the right knowledge to follow these instructions. Anyway I will try harder.

Thanks again for your support and for this great tool,

    Gruss,
    E.

PS : if anybody manages to get this configuration working, kindly let me know.

It is a lot easier if you use the program in the "Read This First" thread and paste the information in here, because the page you linked to is 1) In german, 2) Doesn't provide any information beyond hardware setup and 3) Is not in the standard format, so it makes it more difficult to skim for relevant information.
