Hello everyone,

I am having some memory call problems while configuring Mediaportal / TV server V 1.0 RC 2. When I start scanning for channels in the -autotune tab -> edit capture card- the program always stops and then windows returns a error
saying that a read or write (i have had them both) error has occured on memory adress 0xXXXXXXXXX . The numbers are always different memory adresses.
When I start the scan, it all looks OK, you can tell by the counter that a lot of TV and Radio channels are found, but before the progress bar is halfway, I get the memory message error.

I have already checked the memory with memtest and ran scans for virusses and spyware, but everything looks OK. Also, Mediaportal is the only program that causes this on my PC. I guess that if there was a hardware failure or something other programs would also cause this.

If anyone can help me with this problem, I would be very grateful ! The program looks very promising and I would
really like to use it for the HTPC I am building.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply !

You may be right, I overlooked the BDA/DVB hotfix. I will install it first thing in the morning and let you know the results.
