When less then 5 plugins are active for the 'Home' menu, then items get repeated.

This same issue occurs in the TVGuide list, when less then 7 channels are active, however my S/W capture card no longer works in latest CVS so I can not confirm if that bug still exists.

This is not a bug......this is intended behaviour...:)

You can modify the skin to display less channels in the EPG, if you wish.

I believe there is also a way of changing the number of menu items displayed, but I don't recall how to do it right now.

Heh, when I tried Meedio and the items didn't repeat, I was all upset. I prefer them to repeat.

Well, intended or not, this is very bad usability. No menu should ever repeat items.

If there are less items than the visual length of the menu, no 'rolling' should happen.

Really? I love the rolling. I think it is user-preference related so I guess MP has it right by giving you the optionto use it or shut it off.

Well, I'm not talking about getting rid of the rolling (I will later on ;-)) but if there are less items than the number of possible visual items in the list, then there shouldn't be rolling. In other words, you should never see this:

    My TV
    My Music
    My TV
    My Music
    My TV
    etc.

    It should display it as:

    My TV
    My Music

    No rolling.

And as promised.. I hate the rolling, it is a terrible way to select items in a list. I have seen myself passing the item way too often and see me ending up at the top of the list again. Try to select an item at the end of a long list. I can bet a lot of money on it that you will miss it and end up at the top of the list. That's bad. Fortunally, not many UI use this to select items in a dropdown list or a listbox in general.

Sorry, it may look nice but users have a hard time to use it. And as a UI designer by profession, I feel I have to advocate for them :D

PS: there are better ways to have rolling and not miss the last item. Like stopping at the end of the list and have the user repress the down button to initiate the rolling and move back to the top of the list.
