When exiting MP I see in the logs that Minidisplay throws an exception. I only see this in the logs and both my Imon display and remote works fine. I only found this because I was tracking another bug.

I get the error regardless of IRSS running or not.

I guess this "bug" is not that importent since everything seems to work just fine, but wanted to report anyway just in case.

Would this explain that when MediaPortal exits, it seems to kill my IRSS some times, I realize the two are kind of linked.

I also found that when both Minidisplay and MovingPictures are enabled, exiting MP isn't working as it should. It leaves Mediaportal.exe process running in the background and you have to kill it in task manger. Disabling either Moving Pictures or Minidisplay removes this problem.

Don't know if this is bug related to Minidisplay or Moving Pictures (or both), just posting my findings here as it seems related.

Logs attached with Poving Pictures and Minidisplay activated (had to kill Mediaportal.exe after a couple of after minutes to start the log collector.).

    Code:

I bet you start MP with a a user that lacks the rights to control services...

You are correct. When I run MP as administrator I don't have this problem. Is that the solution then? To run MP as administrator?

Why do we need to restart IRSS anyway? Everything works fine without restarting it. Both display and remote.

Unfortunately only for your firmware version, for many this is not the case...

OK, I see. Thanks for your help! Maybe we could have a checkbox in the configuration that default would be checked. That way those who want to can disable it and avoid this problem.
