How about this for a client :)

Maybe not powerful enough today but maybe some day this could be a MP client

Yeah. Saw these on Engadget a while back. Very very smart.

I think it would definitely be possible to use them in some form. Perhaps not as a full MP frontend, but with RTSP or uPnP it wouldn't need to be a full blown frontend. As long as it can render full screen Standard Def video it could be of use.

oh yeah, they should work just fine.

Graphics are "Intel 945GM OnDie (Intel GMA 950)" and the systems are ViiV and Vista Premium ready.

Nice little boxes too. The only thing they don't have is HDMI with HDCP. But i don't *really* care about that to be honest :)

if it was me buying it, i'd get the cheapest Core2Duo now and then replace it when the fastest it can handle gets cheap in a year or two :)

With memory you are restricted to SO-DIMMs, laptop memory. So there isn't really a lot of choice there. probably best to get 1gig of 667MHz. although as there is only one slot, if you wanted to upgrade you would have to replace it completely.
