My Hauppauge Win TV-HVR-2250 (8851) is being reported as a Win TV-7164. It will not find any channels under ATSC or Analog. And it only shows a signal in Analog. I've attached my logs.

Thanks
Jeff

    Hi and welcome Jeff :)

If you take a look at the card you'll see that it is based on the NXP/Philips (now Trident) SAA7164 chip. The tuners are identified that way because of the way the tuners are registered by the drivers. Please make sure you have configured the two tuners correctly as hybrid tuners. You can't use the analog and ATSC/QAM parts of each tuner at the same time, hence the need for the hybrid configuration. Also make sure you disable preloading on the first ATSC tuner as it may cause problems for you down the road.

I've set up the Hybrids as per the wiki but I can't find any info on choosing settings for the ATSC channel scan. Which QAM setting, etc.

    Hi again

When scanning for ATSC, untick the "tune QAM instead of ATSC" option. The QAM standard setting is irrelevant.

When scanning for clear QAM, tick the "tune QAM instead of ATSC option. You can contact your cable provider and ask which QAM standard they use or use trial and error to figure with QAM standard to use.

Note: I noticed earlier in your logs that MP was unable to get control over the tuner. I guess you're aware that you can't use the tuner in multiple applications (ie. the Hauppauge software and MP) at the same time?
