To prevent applications from stepping on each other's toes, when an application is writing to a file it is "locked". This does not actually prevent other applications from doing anything, it is up to the application to do what it wants with this information. Moving Pictures though will not import movies if they are locked because we do not want to import only one file of a two part movie while you are copying files to the folder. It looks like in your situation, the file was for some reason permanently locked by your operating system. Because of this Moving Pictures wouldn't touch it, it assumed it was part of a file transfer or maybe a half complete DVD rip.</blockquote>
