First thanks for a brilliant peice of software

Sorry I have answerer the questions above as best I can.

I had the TV service up and running ok for 2-3 months with the TV guide ok.

I went into the tv guide set up to see if I could add 5 star(As in channel 5 *) listings to the guide and I have now lost the TV icon on the front end the scrolling bit where it says Weather, Videos, plugins, Play disc, etc. so can not access the TV features. The programmes set to record all recorded ok. I tried a system restore and reinstalling media portal neither worked.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Kind Regards
Paul

Hi and welcome to the forum Paul :)

Could you please post your logs. The easiest way to do that is using the watchdog (info in the wiki -->here<--). Just find the debug mode link in your start menu, choose option 3 to grab all your logs, and then post the zip file that is created here.

PS: support threads require logs (rules here), so please remember to always post them in the future. ;)

    Hi again Paul

Can you check if there is a TvPlugin.dll file in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows.

    Hi,

You seem to have disabled the TV plugin.

    From MediaPortal.xml you have

    Code:

yes

no

yes

yes

Go into MediaPortal Configuration, go to the plugins pane and re-enable to TV plugin.
