Mixing Different Tuner Types (1 Viewer)

Currently use a twin DVB-S2 tuner and thinking of adding a DVB-T2 tuner for a bit more flexibility when recording lots of things at once but unsure as to how the channels / epg mapping would work? Before I go ahead and buy one is it an easy enough job or am i better getting another satellite tuner and using some kind of switch / splitter?

    Personally I would take the DVB-T/T2 option.

    Yes, a satellite tuner would be easier to configure from a MediaPortal perspective... but also likely more complex/expensive from a signal splitting perspective.

    You should be able to get a combined DVB-T/T2 + DVB-S/S2 setup working with EPG and shared channels. Combine channels according to the link posted by FreakyJ above. Disable EPG grabbing on the tuners you don't want to grab EPG with (presumably the DVB-T ones) here:
