mkv Blackscreen / CoreAVC (1 Viewer)

Hello, i just did a fresh install of windows vista 64bit. and i am trying to setup media portal to play MKV files via CoreAVC. When i set the codec as CoreAVC i get sound, but no video, just a black screen. It works fine when i set it to FFDSHOW as my codec, but it takes up a bit of cpu. was wondering if anyone has a clue as to why i am getting a black screen with CoreAVC.
