i have no issues with 24p videos, the only occasional video/audio out of sync issue occurs with non dxva HD video, which is presumably because the cpu is a little maxed out, in this situation the "force sound card to reninit after seek/pause" keeps the audio in sync.

It might not be even the CUP maxed out that causes it. We have identified few issues in MP's EVR custom presenter code.

same file goes out of sync in mpc-hc standalone player however the ac3filter reinit seems to stop it from drifting out of sync
in my feeling in my case its cpu bc its non dxva compliant 1080p rip and the cpu is around 60-80% atleast

If you have dual core CPU then 60-80% is definitely pushing the CPU over its limits (as not all code can be threaded in such way that 100% usage would be possible in multicore systems).

yea its dual core AMD X2 4200+ CPU, so i rely on dxva. but non dxva movie @ 60-80% is actually very very watchable if i use ac3filter to keep the audio in sync
