mkv subtitles and language embedde (1 Viewer)

Hi there
im having problems displaying subtitles embedded in mkvs and also various language tracks embedded in mkvs. is there anyway to display or use these?
Using core avc and the mpc hc subtitle engine.
Ive been wandering through the forums but cant seem to find an answer
any help would be much appreaciated

Don't know about core avc but it works fine for me with lav.
You should elaborate a bit more on your problems: What is (not) happening?
Have you set your language defaults for subs and audio in Video section?

I have a few series where there are various subtitle and aidio streams embedded in the file. when i play with vlc all these options are available. when i play in mediaportal i cannot see any subtitle tracks (just blank when i go into options) and there is no audio.
Is there anything else that you need to know that might help?

Do you have LAV Filters installed? To me it seems you are missing a splitter...
