If you just focus on the new look it'll probably simplify your day.Besides, last I looked at StreamedMP's dev code they were planning on putting a basic "horizontal" option in the regular editor anyway (maybe that was you doing it?) - you could have the standard editor offer the old, basic horizontal look, and this one be the fancy-pants version.
