I think there is a problem while reproducing live channels with mono audio tracks. I can't hear any sound during live playback and during recorded ts file playback too. Sometimes also the video freezes as soon as I zap into the channel, so I need to continuously zap in/out the channel until the video starts to play normallly (but still with no audio).

It could be the same issue reported here but I didn't find a solution yet.

Here is a recording of a live channel with all the audio tracks in mono: video1

and here a second recorded live channel with one stereo audio track (that works perfectly) and two tracks mono: video2.

VLC reproduces both files correctly as well as GraphEdit. The only way I got to let MP reproduce them correctly is changing the file extension to other than ts (i.e. mpg) but however I still have the issue during live playback.

Any suggestion is really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Did anybody get to successfully reproduce the two files (video1/2) with Mediaportal?

Thanks in advance.

The only way I know around this is to install ffdshow and select this as your audio codec.

You need to change under the audio config\codec MP!\MP2 format and change the libmad to libavcodec, this gives better support for mono channels.
