I recently (just last week) did some updates and additions to both my systems running MP. Apparently the same changes caused identical issues. I first noticed the issue with backdrops in the new fanart handler plugin being developed. After several days of dedicated investigation and many updates by the dev (thanks cul8er!) the issue was resolved and the backdrops handled by that plugin began working. During that time, I noticed that my MovingPictures backdrops also stopped working. There ARE images in the MoPo fanart folder, that has never changed. Everything about MoPo works as expected, it is just not displaying the fanart anymore.

I'm not sure what the gremlin was that caused the skin handler and MovingPictures backdrop issues, but it did not effect my TVSeries backdrops, which have continued to work. I don't know why I seem to be the only person to experience this, either.

I've just generated some logs for the MovingPictures backdrop issue. I started MP, went to MoPo and went down several titles on my list, then exited.

I haven't updated to MoPo 1.0beta... and till using MP 1.0.2

    Hope it helps.

Could you please regenerate log files while in debug mode? Also when you open the config, if you goto the Movie Manager is there a file path in the Backdrop field at the bottom of the Movie Details page? And you mentioned that you ran some updates before you first encountered the problem, can you be more specific? What was updated?

Could you try temporarily switching to another skin to ensure this is in fact a plugin or MediaPortal problem and not a skin issue?

oh crap... egg in face!!! Works fine in aMPed...

I will have to see where I went wrong.....

Sorry to be a bother, it just seemed odd that the problem popped up at the same time as the fanart handler issue, and I don't remember having made any changes to my MoPo xml's. I will have to go through again and figure it out from here....

    Thanks for taking time.

Turns out it was as simple as an ID conflict...

Don't know WHY it was a problem... just changed a 1 to a 0 for a label ID in one of the imported xml's.
